CRAIG BEATTIE

PLAYER RELATIONS OFFICER

As a former professional who’s experienced all levels of the game I understand all of the different issues and challenges that face professional players across the board…

Club Visits

As the player’s union we want to be in front of footballers across Scotland consistently to let them know that we work for them – and a big part of this is presenting to them the benefits of the union, what we’ve done for players and what we’ll continue to do for players!

Gambling

Professional Footballers in Scotland are bound by a very strict set of rules around gambling – you must not gamble on football in any capacity be it Lowland League or Champions League you cannot gamble on it.

How To Join

In order to join PFA Scotland as a Member you need to be playing in the SPFL (Premiership, Championship, League One or League Two) or in the SWPL1. As the professional footballer’s union for Scotland we can only accept membership from players in those leagues playing in Scotland.

Men’s Player Availability List

PFA Scotland provide the opportunity for male footballers who are out of contract and are PFAS Members to go on the Player Availability List – which gets circled to clubs, scouts and coaches regularly.

Reporting Concussion

As a member of FIFPRO – the overarching player’s union – we are committed to ensuring that concussion management protocols are observed across Scotland to best preserve player safety and improve standards in the game.

Showcase And Exit Trials

PFA Scotland continue to run our annual exit trials and showcase for our members again this year – with another successful education, football training and match day enjoyed by out-of-contract players.

Women’s Player Availability List

PFA Scotland provide the opportunity for female footballers who are out of contract and are PFAS Members to go on the Player Availability List – which gets circled to clubs, scouts and coaches regularly.
