PFA Scotland are delighted to announce the SWPL Team of the Year for 2025/26, supported by Select Car Leasing.

The Team of the Year is voted for by fellow professionals across the SWPL, with players given the opportunity to select an XI in a 4-3-3 formation. This season’s team features representatives from four clubs.

Goalkeeper

Lee Gibson (Glasgow City)

A commanding presence between the posts, Lee Gibson has once again demonstrated her consistency at the highest level. The experienced goalkeeper has played a key role in Glasgow City’s strong campaign, producing several important saves and contributing to a clean sheet tally of 11 – the most in the division.

Defender

Emma Lawton (Celtic)

Emma Lawton earns another spot in SWPL Team of the Year. Last year’s Player of the Year continues to impress for club and country. Comfortable both defensively and in possession, she has proven to be one of Celtic’s key players across the campaign.

Erin Husband (Heart of Midlothian)

One of the most exciting young players in the SWPL, Husband has excelled for the Jambos, showing versatility across the backline. The 18-year-old now has successive Team of the Year nominations in her first two full seasons as a professional.

Danique Ypema (Heart of Midlothian)

The Dutch defender has gone from strength to strength for Eva Olid’s side. Producing key moments in the SWPL title race at both ends of the pitch, Ypema will continue to have an influence as the campaign nears a tantalising finish.

Amy Muir (Glasgow City)

A reliable and energetic option at the back, Amy Muir has been a standout performer in Glasgow City’s defence across season. The Scotland international has shown her leadership qualities with City competing both domestically and in Europe.

Midfielder

May Cruft (Rangers)

A remarkable breakout season for the 16-year-old, as she has been recognised by players across the division as one of the SWPL’s top midfielders. A promising future awaits for the Rangers youngster who continues to show her qualities as a full professional.

Eilidh Shore (Hearts)

A dynamic presence in midfield, Eilidh Shore has been crucial to Hearts’ performances this season. Her energy, passing range and ability to influence games in both areas of the pitch have earned recognition from her peers.

Kim Shin-Ji (Rangers)

The Korean international midfielder has made a big impression across the SWPL. Shin-Ji has brought composure, consistency and creativity to Leanne Crichton’s side and is enjoying a productive loan spell in Glasgow.

Forward

Georgia Timms (Hearts)

A standout performer across the season, the Jambos striker adds creativity and energy to an incredible goal threat. Timms has 18 league goals as Hearts remain in the hunt for their first SWPL title.

Katie Wilkinson (Rangers)

Katie Wilkinson has been the most prolific forward in the SWPL this season with 27 goals. Leading the line for Rangers, the forward has consistently produced big moments across the campaign.

Nicole Kozlova (Glasgow City)

A key figure in Glasgow City’s forward line, Nicole Kozlova has delivered an impressive return in front of goal. The Ukrainian international has provided energy, intelligence and a goal threat for City, recognised by her peers across the division.
