PFA Scotland are delighted to announce the nominees for the Player of the Year Awards 2026 in the SPFL Championship, SWPL, SPFL Young Player and SWPL Young Player categories.

Premiership leaders Hearts provide two nominations, with fourteen-goal Claudio Braga joining club captain and 2024 Player of the Year Lawrence Shankland. Meanwhile Motherwell’s excellent season is rewarded with nominations for winger Elijah Just and the division’s top scorer Tawanda Maswanhise.
As a thrilling SWPL title race reaches its conclusion, there are nominations from the three leading clubs, including two from Glasgow City in Scotland goalkeeper Lee Gibson and Ukrainian striker Nicole Kozlova. Rangers goal machine Katie Wilkinson is nominated for a second successive year, while Georgia Timms receives recognition for her goalscoring feats that have fired Hearts to the top of the table.
Players from four clubs receive recognition in the SPFL Young Player category. Barney Stewart is nominated for his part in Falkirk’s run to the top six, while Findlay Marshall receives recognition for helping Arbroath’s push into the Championship playoff spots. Luke Graham has impressed in Dundee’s defence all season, while Mikey Moore’s goals and assists for Rangers earn him a nomination.
Rangers have another two nominations in the SWPL Young Player category through May Cruft and Laura Berry, who is on the shortlist for a second successive year. Lisa Forrest’s form for Glasgow City receives a reward with a nomination, while Rosie Livingstone’s fine performances for Hibernian are also recognised. The overall winners will be announced on Sunday, 3 May, at the PFA Scotland Awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
