PFA Scotland, in conjunction with The Managers and Coaches Association of Scotland, are delighted to announce their nominees for 2025.

SPFL Manager of the Year

Derek McInnes – Heart of Midlothian

Gary Naysmith – Stenhousemuir

John McGlynn – Falkirk

SWPL Manager of the Year

Eva Olid – Heart of Midlothian

Gary Holt – Partick Thistle

Leanne Ross – Glasgow City

In the SPFL, two previous winners of the award receive nominations, alongside a man aiming to create history for his club. 2014 Manager of the Year Derek McInnes is nominated once more for his achievements at Hearts, who sit top of the Premiership with four games left as they bid for a first Scottish league title since 1960. Three-time winner and last year’s Manager of the Year John McGlynn has enjoyed another successful season steering Falkirk into the Premiership top six. In League One, Gary Naysmith is recognised for his role in pushing Stenhousemuir to the brink of promotion to the Championship for the first time in their history. return.

The SWPL title race is heading for an exciting finish with Hearts leading the pack in the closing stages, and Eva Olid is nominated after guiding her side to the top of the table. Having already won the Sky Sports Cup, Glasgow City are now eyeing a domestic treble as they remain in the title mix and Scottish Cup semifinals under Leeanne Ross. Meanwhile Gary Holt receives recognition for his work guiding Partick Thistle into the top six of SWPL 1.

The Manager of the Year Awards will be presented at the 2026 PFA Scotland Awards dinner, held on Sunday 3 May at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
