We have earmarked July as Transition Month to help our members start planning for life beyond football.
If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it is that football is more precarious than ever and having a Plan B – to turn to now, or in the future – is vital.
There’s a little bit more certainty about the re-start of the Championship, League 1&2, but realistically that is still three-and-a-half months away so there is plenty of time to start thinking about the future be that through getting a short/long term job, an apprenticeship or starting a course or something similar.
As part of Transition Month, we are running PFA-funded courses – including Tiling (this course is now full), IT Skills and CV Writing.
The latest IT Skills course – which will be done online – starts on Monday 6th July and will run twice-weekly (Monday’s & Wednesday’s) for three weeks, from 1.30-3.30pm.
The course will teach you how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint – skills you will need at some point whether that be in future employment or even in football as a coach.
To sign up for the IT Skills course, contact Chris Higgins ASAP on 07719 902438 or email him chris@pfascotland.co.uk.
