As the Wellbeing Development Officer at PFAS I take on the role as a signposting contact for players struggling with mental health difficulties, gambling issues or those who may have faced discrimination at their clubs.

I meet with players, listen to them and understand the next steps that they need to take in order to deal with whatever issues they may be dealing with. All chats are strictly confidential – with no club, manager, team-mate or family/friends made aware of our conversation.

I also work with our brilliant partners – TIE, Show Racism the Red Card to name a couple – on raising awareness of issues in society and football in general and ensuring that we lead with an education-first approach with players.

I’ve also led workshops on mental wellbeing, resilience and how to help other if they’re struggling – hopefully I’ll get to your club soon to deliver one of these.

If you want to get in touch for an informal, confidential chat contact me on the details below.

If you want to contact me directly you can do so on 07935 714 688 or on david@pfascotland.co.uk
