PFA Scotland Showcase & Exit Trial Gallery

Last updated: 2.08pm, Thursday 22nd June 2017 by

The PFA Scotland Showcase and Exit Trial took place at Broadwood last week.

Under the watchful eye of Head Coaches Ryan Stevenson and Craig Hinchcliffe, plus a number of guest coaches including John Rankin, Greig McDonald, Todd Lumsden, Allan Moore, Lee Miller, Kieran McAnespie and Craig McEwan, 30 players put themselves in the shop window to find a new club for the 2017/18 season.

Throughout the week the players trained, took part in strength and conditioning sessions - courtesy of Forfar's David Cox - and were encouraged to think about and prepare for a life beyond football.

On the Saturday, the management teams of John Rankin/Lee Miller and Ryan Stevenson/Craig Hinchcliffe took charge of the players for the Exit Trial match.

Clubs from across the leagues were represented including Hearts (Jon Daly), Motherwell (Stephen Craigan), St Mirren (Allan McManus and Andy Webster) to East Fife (Darren Young) and Berwick (John Coughlin).

We even had Stranraer's Grant Anderson as the man in the middle for the day - as he has been put through his refereeing badges.

A huge thank you to all who were involved from the players to the coaches who gave up their time to help - the whole point of the week was to have the players helping each other.

A special thank you to Todd Lumsden and his team at NCL who hosted us for the third year running.

Fingers crossed some of the lads get signed up now....
