Players from clubs around Scotland have been choosing their best eleven players and completing their FIFA FIFPro World XI voting forms.

With assistance from all affiliated professional footballer associations, FIFPro distribute voting forms to footballers in Asia, America, Africa and Europe.  Players select their team to include one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers and those who receive the most votes will be celebrated during the FIFA Ballon d’Or in Zurich on Monday 7th January 2013.

Speaking at the recent official launch of the vote, the reigning Best Player in the World Lionel Messi told FIFPro “It’s a great prize because of what it means, because of who do the voting, they are your own professional colleagues.  Anyone they want will be a winner, the one they choose and that makes it a very good prize.”

Players in Scotland have been enjoying the opportunity to take part in the voting process including the squad at Kilmarnock who are pictured considering their choices at a recent PFA Scotland club visit.
