JOURNALISM COURSE AVAILABLE FOR PLAYERS

Jack Ross
20th July 2012

PFA Scotland and in particular our Education co-ordinator Craig Flannigan have been working to develop a relationship with the City of Glasgow College in order to offer courses for professional footballers in Scotland.

We are therefore pleased to announce that there is an opportunity for players to enroll on a National Progression Award for Journalism.  The course, which is part time and on a day release basis, will give players an insight into the workings of the media and includes a number of different subject areas such as Media Research and Interview Skills, Sports Feature Writing, News Writing and Photography.

This course should appeal to any player who has an interest in developing skills in journalism and may be considering a career in this industry, with a progression into an HNC/D in Practical Journalism available for those who complete the course.

There will be a number of other courses available at the City of Glasgow College on a similar day release basis and details of these will be made available shortly on our website.

Should any player have an interest in this course or wish further information then please contact Craig Flannigan or Jack Ross at PFA Scotland.
